Cameroonian Hip Hop star, Stanley Enow will be working with a young French-speaking rapper, Daicko under his record label, Motherland Empire. Daicko already has more than 10,000 followers on Instagram alone.
The ‘Hein Pere’ hit maker made the announcement via an Instagram post on January 9. Stanley posted a black and white picture of Daicko with the caption, “Up Next #motherlandempire”. The young rapper also replied, “Motherland Soldier #2019” alongside emojis of a mic, prayers and rockets. Meaning, he’s ready to take the next step of his music career with his icon.
Stanley Enow has repeatedly been slammed in the past by critics for not adding another talent(s) to his group. Many had claimed the rapper was selfish and wanted to garner all the fame and money to himself. Others mentioned that he is scared to bring in another talent who could steal the spotlight from him.
Well, looks like the rapper had been waiting for the right time to do what he wanted to do and if 2019 is the right time, so be it. Stanley has always wanted to build his brand to be valuable enough to handle more than one artist.
“To run a label is not as easy as many people think it is, you know,” Stanley once told us at the media release party for his song/video ‘Adore You’ in Douala.
“Motherland Empire is run by many people… there are many hands behind the scenes which make the label function the way it functions. I am not alone. We want to work so hard so that anyone coming in won’t have so much work to do than to be as creative as he or she wants to be,” he said.
Stanley Enow has also hinted on a new album which could drop this year when he says “#AlbumWillBeBig” in a post back in December 2018.
We keep our fingers crossed and wish Stanley Enow and the Motherland Empire family all the best this 2019.
