The hip hop superstar made the announcement in an Instagram post on December 15 while sharing some amazing pictures with his nearly 250k Instagram followers.
The #kingkong, as he’s fondly called, was the first and only artist signed to Motherland Empire since 2013. He has so far enjoyed his major successes and challenges under the said label since its very inception.
The famous music record label has been criticized in the past for working with a solo artist but it seems Stanley Enow has just broke the silence by revealing to the public that his label is now open to take in another talent.
The label has seen major gains over the past 6 years with Stanley on board such as winning Cameroon’s lone MTV Africa Music Awards in 2014 for Stanley’s hit song, ‘Hein Pere’ as well as numerous AFRIMA and AFRIMMA awards. Stanley has also blessed the label with cash from major endorsement deals from companies like Guinness Cameroon, BICEC Bank, Orange Cameroun and many more.
The label has stood by Stanley to give back to underprivileged persons via the Stanley Enow Foundation and have partnered with some event organizers to give talks and trainings to up and coming artists. It now feels ready to work and groom other superstars, like the #kingkong.
However, it’s still unclear if the label is searching for another rapper or just brilliant artists to work with. The label has also not revealed how many artists they are interested to sign and for how long do they intend to groom the artists.
How does Motherland Empire plan to get its fresh talents? Maybe through a music talent show… who knows?
