Cameroonian Hip Hop couple, Askia and Qilla, have put all Doubting Thomases to rest this weekend when they surprised fans with a steamy makeout session on stage at the 2019 Urban Jamz Awards in Douala, March 23.

While performing her new song, ‘Mami Bakala’ at the Urban Jamz Awards, Saturday night, the former Alpha Better Records rapper and her Limbe-based rapper fiance took a moment before going in for a slightly long kiss and stage fondling.

Although none of them have shared that special moment on their social media platforms, Askia did dedicate her ‘Best Hip Hop Song 2019’ award to her man. She told the audience that Qilla has played a huge role in reshaping her music she’s the luckiest girl in the world to have such a supportive partner by her side.

The couple got engaged on March 17 at the video release party of ‘Let’s Talk’ in Limbe. Qilla took Askia by surprise by interrupting her speech with the question ‘Will you marry me?’ Of course, she said yes!

Fans of the rapper have fallen deeper in love with her since her conversion from an alleged drug addiction to finding her ways again. Askia has repeated reminded fans of her struggle to stay relevant and less pressured from the society and the music industry. She has also spoken openly about her past with heartbreaks in relationships and how it has led her to speak up for women  struggling with love and relationships as well as low self esteem.
