The Mützig Star 2017 is all a new game! The old has gone and the new is here!

Mützig Star 2017 has existed for 27 years and has brought about some of the greatest singers in Cameroon’s music history including Belka Tobis, Longue Longue, Charlotte Dipanda, Prince Afo Akom, Dynastie le Tigre, Salatiel, Big Benji Mateke, Dany Muma, Stypak Samo, Zinnia, Martino Ngalle, One Face, Aaron B, Kimmanuel and many others.  But this year, the famous competition has new rules, new administration and involves every talented Cameroonian musician care less where you come from.

Here are some of the few things you need to know about the Mützig Star 2017

  1. This 27th edition of Mützig Star and it is marked by major changes of the competition:
  2. Registration is no more forbidden for artists who have already produced a sound or have a video on YouTube…
  3. The competition is under the supervision of the legendary saxophonist,  Manu Dibango
  4. The competition is supported by 3 Ambassadors: Salatiel, Daphne and Dynastie le Tigre
  5. The new format of the competition is supported by a massive TV broadcasting on 4 TV Stations;
    • CRTV
    • Canal2 International
    • Equinoxe TV
    • Trace TV
  6. Public voting counts but less in the new format: For example at the Pre-selections phase, only 10 out of 100  candidates are selected through the Internet Voting.
  7. Candidates are evaluated on 2 main criteria:
    • Voice/Flow (For Rappers) : (10 points).
    • Stage performance (10 points).
  8. All 5 Finalists will be part of a national MützigSTAR Mboa Tour along with all three brand ambassadors.
  9. The competition is no more limited to singers alone, it’s now opened to all musicians with a SPECIAL Prize by Manu Dibango to be received.
  10. Urban music is on board

    How are we so sure this is not fake? Anglo people have the talent but winner will always be a Franco. What’s the use of registering
