Why insist he wears a condom but will go ahead to give him a blow job?

Why insist he uses condoms during sex but takes it off when you want to give him a blow job (fellatio)? Are both sexual acts not likely to infect you with the same diseases?

As far as I know, blow jobs or giving a head still gets a guy’s naked penis into a woman’s mouth and/or gets the guy’s tongue into the woman’s pussy. If those genitals are wounded or your mouth is sore, are you not exposed to same diseases like STDs, H.I.V virus, herpes and many more?

Speaking with my dear friend Dr. Eni Muna Mbuagbaw, she explains that:

“Most of the viruses which could be transmitted in the seminal fluid may still be transmitted in saliva but go through the digestive track. So would the sperm that could get you pregnant. Unless, you would be drinking a whole glass of it, I don’t think that should be a problem.

“However, if you have sores in your mouth, it is very likely the local infections can cause infections like herpes or thrush.

“Any sexual practice especially very invasive ones are a means of transmitting infections. But bottom line, it depends on how infectious the carrier is and how strong the immune system of the receptor is.”

Another friend of mine (who remains anonymous) adds that:

“You have greater chances of reducing the risks of sexual infections with oral than with unprotected sex. By that, I mean maximum mouth hygiene. Try as much as possible not to take secretions into your mouth and definitely do not swallow. Use your hands more when giving a blow job so as to control how much of the penis goes deep down into your throat. These are things you can’t very much control with unprotected sex.”

Just to make sure this topic is well understood, another medical expert, Mungu Blanche says:

“The vagina mucosa is very fragile and some women develop discrete bruises during intercourse making it easier for microbes to invade. A blow job on the other hand, is unlikely to bruise your buccal mucosa. So if no preexisting lesions, most of what gets in your mouth/throat would go out through poop.

“A good example is in the case of HIV positive breast feeding mothers. Even though the virus is in the milk, most exposed babies don’t get infected with the necessary precautions taken.”

These medically trained friends of mine have said it all, oral sex comes with its own health hazards but unprotected sex takes the cake! So ALWAYS protect yourself during sex and do yourselves a favor by going for your HIV/AIDS test TODAY!
