All eyes were at the midsection of almost every woman at the 18th BET Awards in Los Angeles on June 24 thanks to the numerous crop tops which dominated the red carpet.

Blac Chyna, Normani, Seraya, Chloe and Halle Bailey, Necole Kane and South Africa’s Nandi Madida showed up to celebrate black culture from across the world in the most eye-catching looks ever!

The Hollywood stars weren’t there to allow the heat of the summer sun to ruin their love for fashion and so opted for crop tops, high double slits, oversize pants and skirts and dramatic ensembles.

Some of us may ask, why so many crop looks on the red carpet? Well, the answer is simple! Female stars love to look good but love when they are admired for looking great in their choice of outfits. Now after spending hours, days, weeks or even months in the gym getting ready for the BET Awards, which gym lover wouldn’t want to show off her results at the world’s largest black entertainment assemblage? We would!

Again, crops tops are super chic as they expose a woman’s curves and tones abs so perfectly. They exude sexiness and confidence, two adjectives every woman wants to described as. Another reason? They are super cool and comfortable especially in heat.
